Summer Holiday Stop 1: London

Just boarding the train south with destination Salisbury, we are content with a first stop well spend on this years UK trip.

Day 1: Wild Beasts & Boats
Arrival in London after an uneventfull journey on the Eurostar (apart from the high-security check;), check in and then off to the zoo! After an exhausting 5hours on our feet, decision to spend the rest of the day on the Thames (3h boat trip = excellent:).
Highlight of the day: Passing by 300m (no kidding!!!) of queue at the zoo thanks to the London Pass Fast Track!;)

Day 2: Geek's have all the fun
Starting the day with a tour of the Globe Theatre, including a few minutes of actual rehearsal (with much fellow feeling for the poor actors;) & moving on to Southwark for a chilled drink, a pirate ship and an old church. In the afternoon going on to Tower Bridge and afterwarts spending a few really interesting hours at the Tower itself (queue jumping again!;).
Highlight of the day: Buying geeky souvenirs at the Globe-Shop & having Mr.Beans cousin(or something;) for a tour guide at the Tower.

Day 3: High Places
Climbing things and staying in parks all day. First Green Park & the Wellington Arch, then on to Parliament Park & St. Pauls (I only made it to the Whispering Galery, Ben climbed all the way to the roof...) and finishing with the 311 steps inside the Wren Monument - we got a certificate for making it!!!;)
Highlight of the day: The Aachen Reunion (dinner with Soeren;)!

 Now on to Stonehendge! *wohoo*
